━━ Choose Your Starting Point

What brings you here today?

Whether you have a planned insulation project or a problem nobody has solved, Airtight gives you a clear next step.

I Need Spray Foam

Premium installation designed for the structure, application and Florida climate.
  • Attic insulation
  • Open-cell foam
  • Closed-cell foam
  • Existing-home retrofits
  • Metal buildings
  • New construction
  • Commercial properties
  • Garages & workshops

I Have a Problem

We investigate what is really happening before recommending insulation or repairs.
  • Sweating AC ducts
  • High attic humidity
  • Hot rooms
  • Musty odors
  • Attic moisture
  • Pressure imbalances
  • Failed spray foam
  • Comfort concerns
━━ A Different Kind of Insulation Company

Spray foam is only part of the solution.

Many contractors begin with the product they want to sell. Airtight begins with the building. A home can have spray foam and still suffer from humidity, sweating ducts, musty odors, pressure problems and uncomfortable rooms.

We examine how air, heat, moisture, pressure, ductwork, insulation and HVAC performance interact throughout the home.

  • Evaluate the full attic and building envelope
  • Identify the root cause rather than cover the symptom
  • Design a project-specific solution instead of a one-size-fits-all package
  • Explain the findings so the homeowner understands the recommendation

We do not simply install insulation. We solve the conditions causing the problem.

━━ Why Airtight Is Different

Typical spray foam contractor vs. Airtight.

The difference is not just the material. It is what happens before the first pass of foam—and whether the whole building is considered.
Typical Approach

Spray Foam Contractor

Starts with the product

Recommends foam based mainly on the requested area or square footage.

One-size-fits-all scope

Uses a standard installation plan regardless of the building’s symptoms.

Looks at insulation alone

May not evaluate humidity, ductwork, pressure, or HVAC behavior.

Installation is the finish line

Success is measured by foam coverage rather than whole-building performance.
The Airtight Approach

Building Science First

Starts with the building

We first understand why the home is hot, humid, wet, or uncomfortable.

Evaluates interacting systems

Air, heat, moisture, pressure, ductwork, HVAC, and insulation are considered together.

Designs a project-specific solution

Spray foam is recommended only when it fits the diagnosis and building assembly.

Verifies the result

The goal is a cleaner, drier, more stable and better-performing building.
━━ Meet the Founder

About Christian Cates

Christian is a Jupiter native who has spent more than 25 years working hands-on in insulation, moisture management, and South Florida homes. He started in the trade as a teenager and later encountered the humidity and mold problems that pushed him deeper into building science.

After years of seeing homes repaired after poor construction decisions and incomplete insulation strategies, Christian founded Airtight to take a different approach: diagnose how the building is actually performing first, then design the right solution for long-term comfort and moisture control.

━━ The Airtight Comfort System™

One coordinated approach to a cooler, drier and better-performing attic.

Airtight combines spray foam, pressure management and humidity control into a building-science system designed specifically for South Florida homes.
01 • Diagnose

Understand the Building

We inspect attic humidity, temperatures, air leakage, ductwork, spray foam condition, moisture patterns, pressure relationships and HVAC conditions.
02 • Engineer

Design the Right System

We determine why the problem exists and coordinate insulation, air sealing, pressure stabilization and moisture control around the home’s actual conditions.
03 • Solve

Correct and Verify

We complete the approved work, correct deficiencies and verify that the attic is cleaner, drier, more stable and performing as intended.

Three integrated components: high-performance spray foam insulation, attic pressure stabilization, and dedicated moisture and humidity control.

━━ Problems We Solve

When “add more insulation” is not the answer.

These symptoms often involve several building systems at once. Airtight finds the cause before deciding what work is needed.

Sweating AC Ducts

Condensation can signal a dew-point, humidity, pressure or air-sealing problem—not simply bad ductwork.

High Attic Humidity

A spray-foamed attic should not remain excessively humid. We evaluate moisture sources and the conditioning strategy.
Request diagnosis →

Failed Spray Foam

Missing areas, poor adhesion and incomplete air barriers can prevent the attic from performing properly.
Request diagnosis →

Hot or Uneven Rooms

Comfort issues may involve insulation, duct leakage, pressure imbalance or uncontrolled air movement.
Request diagnosis →

Musty Odors & Moisture

Persistent odors require root-cause investigation—not another material installed over the problem.
Request diagnosis →

Pressure Imbalances

Uncontrolled pressure can move humid air through the building envelope and contribute to condensation.

━━ Frequently Asked Questions

Spray foam and building-performance questions.

Clear answers for homeowners comparing insulation contractors or trying to solve an existing attic problem.

Not always. Spray foam can reduce uncontrolled air movement and heat transfer, but attic humidity may also involve HVAC operation, pressure relationships, ductwork, moisture sources and how the attic is conditioned.

Ducts sweat when their surface falls below the dew point of the surrounding air. High attic humidity, air leakage, pressure imbalances and incomplete foam details can all contribute.

Yes. Airtight evaluates incomplete, poorly detailed, moisture-affected and underperforming spray foam attics and designs corrections around the actual conditions found.

The correct material depends on the application, assembly, available space, moisture conditions, code requirements and project goals. The property should be evaluated before the foam type is selected.

It is Airtight’s coordinated method for combining spray foam, attic pressure stabilization and humidity control into a complete South Florida attic-performance solution.

Request a spray foam estimate for a planned project, or schedule a building performance evaluation when you are experiencing humidity, condensation, comfort, pressure or existing-foam concerns.
